Walking along boardwalks, beaches, libraries and downtowns for more than two years, I have interviewed people of all different backgrounds and walks of life. I have a passion to help people to see that we are all in this journey called “Life” together. In an age of 240 character tweets and status updates and images with captions, I want to help people to put down their phones, sit down with someone they just met, and have a conversation. I believe that from listening to each other and asking questions, we can learn far more about each other – and ourselves – than we can imagine. And by listeneing to each other, instant of the proliferation of attacking each other that you see rampant of social media, we can usher compassion into our society again, one person at a time.
Having spoken at venues ranging from the Rotary Club to schools to community events to churches, I have shared with audiences my own dramatic near-death experience, which gave me a second chance at life, and how that has influenced listening to the stories of people I interview for Portraits of the Jersey Shore, which can also be found on Facebook.
I truly believes that by getting back to the basics of sharing our stories and experiences with each other, we can build bridges of compassion for one another, over the walls that have been increasingly dividing our culture. For booking information please fill out the form below.
